Sleeping under the stars is a magical experience for most kids of all ages (and adults too!) Immerse yourself in nature in the heart of the Alentejo region on this bite-sized trip. Spend your days kayaking and canyoning, then bed down in a glamping tent on the banks of a river.
Day 1 - Arrival at the glamping site
From Lisbon, the glamping site is about 2 hours drive away. You’ll need to stop off at a supermarket on route to buy supplies for the next few days, which can be stored in the communal kitchen. You can choose to cook in the kitchen, but there is nothing more fun than throwing your food on the BBQ in the evening and enjoying camping life. If you don't feel like cooking, about three miles away you will find simple restaurants serving the local cuisine. Your safari tent is hidden in nature, next to a river and has a bed inside for a little extra comfort. A maximum of four people can stay in a tent, with an additional bed provided for the children.
Days 2-3 - Fun on the river
Every day there is a different activity included in the program, accompanied by a certified local guide. One day kayaking may be on the agenda, and the next day an easy canyoning experience. The activities are suitable for children aged eight years and over. After returning to camp you can swim in the river that flows right in front of your tent, and cook up a feast on the BBQ. At the end of the day, fall asleep in your glamping tent under a starry sky.
Day 4 - The end of the glamping adventure
Dive into the river for the last time and enjoy a final breakfast in this peaceful setting, before departing for the next stop on your family holiday.
